"I bought DOT tokens during the token sale in July 2020. I have my DOT address as well as my mnemonic seed and JSON file - how do I access my tokens?"
Please note: This article only refers to DOT bought during the token sale in 2020. Any DOT allocations that were bought during token sales before July 2020 will need to be claimed, as they are still on the Ethereum network. In that case, please refer to this article.
In order to access your tokens you need a wallet. You can use your mnemonic seed or JSON file to restore access to your account e.g. in polkadot.js, the polkadot{js} browser plugin (more secure) or in Parity Signer (most secure, if you use the Parity Signer app on an old phone that you don't connect to the internet anymore).
