How to add a read-only account in Nova Wallet

Read-only accounts are helpful for monitoring your accounts without using their private keys or adding the accounts you don't own to your "address book." Here is how you can add an address as read-only in the Nova Wallet app.

1. Open the Nova Wallet app. If you don't have any accounts yet, choose "Add watch-only wallet":

If you have an account already, go to Settings > Wallets and tap "Add wallet" first:

2. If you don't have a PIN code set up yet, set it up now and confirm it:

3. Give the account a descriptive name. It's only used locally for your convenience and doesn't appear on-chain:

4. Add the account's address. You can paste it or scan its QR code. Nova supports both Substrate addresses that most networks use and EVM addresses that are less common in the ecosystem:

6. Tap "Continue," and you're done! You can see the information on the account you just added.
