In this article, we'll show how to connect your Ledger account to Nova Wallet. We'll use the Android version of the app, but the differences are minimal.


‼️ IMPORTANT

Only Ledger Nano X is supported in Nova Wallet. Both your Ledger device and your smartphone with Nova Wallet installed need to support Bluetooth.

How to connect a Ledger account to Nova Wallet


1. Open the app. If you don't have any accounts yet, choose "Connect hardware wallet":



If you have an account already, go to Settings > Wallets and tap "Add wallet" first:



2. If you don't have a PIN code set up yet, set it up now and confirm it:



3. Choose "Ledger" from the list:



4. Unlock your Ledger device and open the Polkadot app (or another network app). In Nova Wallet, tap "Continue":



5. In Nova, choose Polkadot (or another network, matching the app open on your Ledger device) from the list.


6. Allow Nova access to your location and nearby devices if asked, enable Bluetooth, and select your Ledger device from the list of devices found nearby:



7. Select your Ledger account from the list:



10. On your Ledger device, review and approve the connection (or reject it if you notice that something is wrong).


11. Tap "Done" in Nova and give your Ledger account a name. It's only used locally for your convenience and doesn't appear on-chain.


12. Tap "Continue," and your Ledger account is now connected to Nova Wallet! Check this article to see what you can do with it in the app.
