How to add your Ledger account to PolkaGate

‼️ IMPORTANT

You can connect your Ledger only using a Chromium-based browser, such as Google Chrome, Brave, and Edge.

1. Click on the PolkaGate icon next to your URL bar. If you've set a login password, you'll need to enter it and unlock the wallet first:

2. Click on the menu button in the top right corner of the extension, click "Import account", and click "Attach Ledger device." The PolkaGate extension will open in the new browser tab.:

3. Connect your Ledger device to your computer and unlock it. Open the Polkadot app on your Ledger.

4. In PolkaGate, select the same network, Polkadot. Your browser may ask you to choose your Ledger device first:

5. Give your account a name. The name is only used locally for your convenience and doesn't display on-chain.

6. Click "Import," and you're done! Your Ledger account will appear in the list of accounts in PolkaGate.
