How to join a nomination pool


Joining a nomination pool is a great option for those who prefer not to nominate validators directly or don't have enough assets to obtain staking rewards. If you're interested, here's how to join a pool from the Fearless mobile app:

1. Navigate to the "Staking" tab, where you'll find details about the current parameters and thresholds specific to the network and staking type you've selected.



2. Tap the name of the current network at the top of the screen to select a network with the "Pool" label next to it. Note that not all networks natively offer nomination pools.



3. After selecting the network and type of staking, enter the amount you'd like to stake and tap "Start Staking." Later in the process, you'll select the nomination pool.



4. Although considered an advanced feature, Fearless lets you create nomination pools from its interface. Since this guide focuses on how to join a nomination pool, tap "Join pool." However, if you want to create a nomination pool, refer to Fearless' documentation.



5. On the next screen, confirm or modify your account and the joining amount. Tap "Join" to proceed.

After joining a nomination pool, return to the "Staking" tab (1) to monitor your pool staking status. Tap the three horizontal dots (2) to access a new screen where you can add more tokens to the pool or initiate unstaking.

If you want to stake more tokens to a nomination pool from the transferable balance, follow the steps below:


1. Go to the "Staking" tab in Fearless.

3. Then, tap "Stake more."



4. The new panel below will allow you to type the amount of assets from your transferable balance to add to your pool staking. Tap "Continue."

How to unstake funds from a nomination pool


If you want to unstake tokens from a nomination pool or leave it completely, follow the steps below:


1. Go to the "Staking" tab in Fearless.


2. Tap the three horizontal dots in the "Your pool staking" section.



3. Then, tap "Unstake."



4. Enter the amount of tokens you wish to unstake. You will exit the nomination pool if you enter the maximum available amount. Proceed by clicking "Continue" to review and confirm your actions.



Information about the nomination pool


Just like any nominator is responsible for checking the status of their validators, a member of a nomination pool should know how to check the pool's status. This section will guide you on how to view the validators nominated by your pool and the accounts managing the pool.


1. Go to the "Staking" tab in Fearless.


2. Tap the three horizontal dots in the "Your pool staking" section.



3. Tap the three horizontal dots at the top-right corner.



4. You'll have two options: "Pool Validators" and "Pool Info."


5. You can view the validators currently nominated by your pool by tapping on "Pool Validators."



6. If you tap "Pool Info" instead, Fearless will show the on-chain information of the pool and the account or accounts responsible for each role in the nomination pool.
