Subwallet: How to Swap Assets Using the Subwallet Web Dashboard Print

Polkadot has recently introduced new asset conversion tools for trustless token swaps. You can now use the familiar Subwallet web dashboard to swap DOT for USDC and USDT. Keep reading to learn how.

Intro
The asset conversion pallet in the Polkadot Asset Hub enables the creation of liquidity pools and token swaps. This allows you to swap native assets and the ability to pay transaction fees with any token with a corresponding pool.
Subwallet is one of the first wallets to use this functionality, offering the service through an easy-to-navigate interface on their Subwallet web dashboard.

Swapping assets using the asset conversion pallet on Subwallet web Dashboard is still in beta, with a limited number of pairs and low liquidity. Proceed with caution and at your own risk.
Swap your tokens
To swap your tokens using the Subwallet web dashboard, follow the steps below:
1. Go to the Subwallet web Dashboard.
2. Connect the wallet managing the account from which you want to initiate the swap.

You are not limited to use Subwallet extension to connect to Subwallet web Dashboard.
3. Go to the "Swap" tab.
4. From the top drop-down menu in the central panel, select the account you want to use for the swap.
5. Now, select the token you want to swap by clicking on the "From" field and choosing the token from the list on the right of your screen:
⚠️ ATTENTION The Subwallet web dashboard allows you to swap tokens across multiple networks using various tools. This article, along with the example below, explains how to use the asset conversion pallet available on the Polkadot Asset Hub.
⚠️ ATTENTION
Notice that the same token might be present on different networks. Ensure you are selecting the desired token and network.
6. Once selected, you’ll see the token’s account balance on the network and can enter the amount you wish to swap.
7. Now, select the token and network you want to swap to by clicking the "To" field below.
⚠️ ATTENTION
Depending on the token you want to swap, you'll have the option to swap it within the same network, or swap it for other token on a different network.
8. Once you have filled out all the required fields, an informative panel about the swap will appear on your right.
9. After carefully reviewing the slippage, estimated amount received, provider, fees, and other details, you are ready to click "Swap" and approve the transaction from your account.
ℹ️ GOOD TO KNOW You might have the possibility to modify the asset you use to pay the swap fee.
10. And that's it! Once the transaction is completed on-chain, you should receive your tokens.
